The Arsenal SAM5 Stands Apart

SAM5 5.56x45mm AK47 Milled Receiver Rifle Arsenal Covert Gray Cerakote 30rd

The AK platform earned its reputation chambered in 7.62×39, a cartridge that became inseparable from its identity. The Arsenal SAM5 takes a different approach.

Chambered in 5.56 NATO and built around a milled receiver, the SAM5 follows a different path while remaining unmistakably Kalashnikov.

A different chambering tells only part of the story.

Arsenal paired 5.56 NATO with manufacturing methods long associated with Bulgarian-built rifles. The result is a rifle built around deliberate engineering decisions.

A Different Foundation

Most modern AKs use stamped receivers. The design has earned its reputation through decades of military service while remaining efficient to manufacture.

Arsenal chose another direction.

The SAM5 begins as a hot-die-forged steel blank before being machined into its final form. Compared with stamping, the process demands more material, more machining, and tighter production tolerances.
