Arsenal Inc., Reaffirms Call for Industry Unity in Defense of Virginia Gun Owners
Las Vegas, Nevada – 5/29/2026 – Arsenal Inc., is issuing this statement to reaffirm the purpose of our recent open letter concerning Virginia’s newly enacted firearms restrictions: to rally the American firearms industry around a visible, unified response to a threat that reaches far beyond one state.
Our open letter was not intended as an attack on the National Shooting Sports Foundation, its leadership, or any organization already engaged in the fight. Arsenal recognizes and supports the NSSF’s lawsuit challenging Virginia’s unconstitutional firearms restrictions, and we are grateful for every legal, legislative, commercial, and grassroots effort being made on behalf of Virginia gun owners.
But our message was always broader than any single organization or lawsuit.
Virginia’s new law is not merely a Virginia problem. It is a warning to the entire firearms industry. When a state moves to restrict commonly owned firearms and magazines, the consequences do not stop at the state line. These laws create uncertainty for citizens, dealers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, trainers, ranges, and advocacy groups alike.
The Second Amendment is not weakened only through outright prohibition. It is also weakened through complexity, fear, delay, legal ambiguity, and red tape. When law-abiding citizens no longer know what they may lawfully buy, sell, transfer, possess, ship, manufacture, or receive, the right itself is chilled. When businesses are forced to navigate a patchwork of vague and politically driven restrictions, commerce slows, compliance risk increases, and the industry becomes more cautious by design.
That is the larger danger our letter was meant to address.
Litigation is essential, and we fully recognize that legal action carries a weight that public statements alone cannot. But visible support matters too. A vocal show of support for Virginia may not have the full force of litigation, but it gives moral support to citizens, dealers, and businesses who too often hear only silence when their rights are placed under attack.
That silence has consequences.
When people feel abandoned, they become discouraged. When dealers and businesses feel isolated, they become cautious. When customers hear nothing from the industry they support, they begin to wonder whether anyone is standing with them. Public support does not replace litigation, but it strengthens resolve. It reminds people they are not alone.
That was the spirit of our original letter.
We believe unity within the firearms industry is not optional in moments like this. It is necessary. Dialogue is part of that unity. Legal challenges, public messaging, customer education, media coverage, dealer support, manufacturer support, and grassroots action all have a role to play. No single organization, company, lawsuit, or statement can carry the full weight of this fight alone.
We also want to recognize The Outdoor Wire for what it has long provided to this industry: a platform capable of getting important firearms industry news, opinions, and developments in front of the people who need to see them. We value that role. We value open dialogue. And we believe that even when perspectives differ, the larger purpose should remain the same — defending the Second Amendment and strengthening the industry that supports it.
Our original letter was a call for unity, and we remain committed to that same spirit now. We did not write to divide the industry. We wrote to encourage a broader, louder, more visible response to an issue that affects all of us.
This was also the spirit behind Arsenal’s direct support for Virginia customers. Our intent was simple: stand with law-abiding Virginians facing uncertainty and show that the industry does not abandon its customers when hostile legislation places their rights in jeopardy.
Virginia is the battleground today. Tomorrow it may be another state. Each new restriction creates precedent, confusion, and momentum for the next. Each state that falls to unconstitutional overreach affects us at our core as Americans, because the Second Amendment does not belong to one state, one party, one company, or one trade association. It belongs to the people.
Arsenal remains committed to standing with Virginia gun owners, with our industry partners, with the NSSF, with industry media, and with every organization fighting to preserve the Second Amendment.
Our message remains what it was from the beginning:
Stand together. Speak clearly. Fight visibly.
