Arsenal Bulgaria Serial Numbers
Arsenal Bulgaria uses the following format to encode production details:
The First Pair of Digits: Year of Manufacture
The first two digits represent the year of manufacture or the year the receiver was serialized. Arsenal Bulgaria uses 1960 as the baseline year (Year Zero). Add the two-digit number to 1960 to determine the manufacturing year.
Examples:
00 = 1960
01 = 1961
56 = 2016
65 = 2025

Arsenal Inc employs a slightly different approach, tailored to their product lineup:

Although some AK’s have no issues with suppression, there is always the chance of a baffle strike if proper safety checks aren’t done in advance. To be safe with any AK, regardless of manufacturer, it is suggested that the barrel be gauged to ensure the threads are concentric and you will not get any baffle strikes.
